Australian man, Ian Usher sells his life on eBay: Erase and reboot or sell out and cash in? You decide!
In what might possibly be the greatest publicity stunt ever concocted by a single man, Ian Usher has placed his entire life up for an auction that will begin June 22nd on eBay. The auction is said to include his home, jet ski’s, skydiving gear, car, and even a two-week trial at his job managing a rug store. The general premise of the auction is this: He had a great life with the woman of his dreams, but then she left him. Now he wants to let go of everything and just make a brand new start for himself somewhere new. He readily admits: “I am still not sure whether this is inspired madness, complete foolishness, or just some sort of mid-life crisis.
“On the day it’s all sold and settled, I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all,” Usher says on his Web site. “I appreciate that many people have had to cope with much more than I have and have had much more sadness in their lives. This is just my way of dealing with what has happened to me.”
“Everything that I have — the furniture in the house — all has memories attached to it,” Usher, 44, told Seven Network television. “It’s time to shed the old, and in with the new.”
However, many readers of his website ALife4Sale are stating that it looks like a big stunt to make Ian a millionaire. On his site, he is telling the 1st of 4 chapters of his life and the story behind his marriage for free. Now for a mere $2.95 you can download the other 3 installments of the story to see where it all went wrong and what led up to the upcoming drastic purge of his life as he knows it.
So readers, tell me… do you think he’ll follow through with the auction? Do you think he’ll make more money off the auction or the e-book? Do you think he’ll get sued by his now ex-wife? For more on Ian Usher, here is what we at RRC were able to find about him.

Sounds like a crafty way to raise some money for a new house. I really doubt he is going to leave everything behind… family, friends, qualifications and all the other baggage we accumulate. What about debts?

This is the most righteous idea EVER! I’m seriously gonna do this. I won’t be first, since he thought of it already, but my life is shit (for me), but if someone else took it over, it would be quite the adventure for them. Great idea. I wonder how much I can get?

What a brilliant idea. It might well be a get rich quick scheme … that is, he might just end up getting a bit rich out of it … but a scam, I think not. He’s not ttrying to ‘fool’ anyone. Go to his web site and read a few of the posts. The opinions expressed there are quite polarised. Some people have definitely missed the point.

Another auction that was almost exactly the same like that had been on ebay about a year ago. I think it even was an Australian Guy then. So nothing new here, would probably even be worth some searching on the interwebs for the old story.

found it
His name is (was, as he sold it
) Nicael Holt and he is (was?) indeed from Australia.
Just google him and you’ll find plenty of information. So although this Ian Usher is doing it with a lot more publicity, his idea is not really that original.

Well, You can understand why the wife left him can’t you? Such a bloody egoist seeking attention! Reality TV comes to the Internet.
Who would want to buy something that obviously doesn’t work?
No, the goods are seriously damaged. No warranties. No VAT (GST In Australia) and he’s bloody English to boot! Already left one great place to clear off to Australia and now he wants out of that also!
There’s only one place for him; on the next Mars spaceship. On his own where he can’t do any damage.
Streuth; what are we coming to?
Delusions of Grandeur, megolomania. paranoia, narcissism all the classic traits of someone in uniform. Put him in the army for christs sake and get him a ;ife The Baldchemist

This is a genious idea, break up, wake up, and sell out. I wish I had though of this instead of burning all the stuff I had from my first failed relationship. It’s pure gold. When God gives you lemons, you FIND A NEW GOD!!!
